Maybe it will do for you what it did for me and give purpose to your journey. So the next time things aren’t going so smoothly (to say the least), remember that “life happens FOR you, not TO you”. I know for myself, the challenges that we have experienced have caused us to grow, learn to advocate for ourselves, to trust our intuition, set boundaries and so much more. At a minimum, bumps in the road sure do make you see how strong you are as a person. As much as I wished I wasn’t going through them at the time, I would have to say that they definitely forced us to grow and become stronger people because of them. A lot of the hurdles on our journey had meaning now. It made me feel less of a victim, like there was a plan and a reason for all that we were going through. Life happens for you,not to you.Is a metaphor of let's learn to look for the positive in past and current situations.Learning this lesson will change your life in ways you never thought possible.Learn how from what seemed like your worst tragedy, was actually your greatest gift.ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE POSITIVE. I grew up hearing “things happen for a reason“ but when she said “life happens FOR you, not TO you”, it was so much more impactful. So many things became clear at that moment. Oh my goodness, this was such a wake up call when I heard this. I was in the middle of a coaching call one time and the coach said to me “life happens FOR you, not TO you“. What if the following were true: I NEED THIS. It’s funny how the words we choose to use can make such a difference. And there it hit me: Life happens not to you, but for you and BY YOU.
